What are Sentimental Journals?
Our books are full-color, elegant keepsakes to give to all who attend your party. In personal interviews we learn about you, the star of the celebration, and the others who are so important in your life. These stories and your favorite photographs are combined seamlessly into a creation you will be proud to share with your family and friends.
What kind of event is appropriate for these books?
If it’s important enough for you to celebrate it, it’s the right time for a Sentimental Journals™ book. Think of it this way: wherever you are in your life, you are now about to step onto the stage for the next act. The curtain is rising! What better time to share your accomplishments, acknowledge the people you love, and thank the folks who have made it all possible?
This is a must-have, but I just don’t have the time to organize it. What do you suggest?
Delegate, darling! Delegate! We ask that you select one person—your mother, your maid of honor, your choice—to be our main contact for the entire process. That way, you know your book will be in good hands, and so do we. You, naturally, can still be in the loop every step of the way, but you can relax about the details.
I don't have a digital camera, and some of my photos are old; plus, pictures will be coming from people all over the country. Is there an easy way for me to manage this?
Yes—let us manage it for you! We at Sentimental Journals™ know you don’t have a lot of time to worry about the little stuff, so we have a couple of suggestions. You can scan them onto your computer at home, or you can take your photos to a photo scanning service (e.g., Kinko’s, Staples, Wal-Mart, your local copy/print center). And for people who don’t have access to computers or a scanning service, we offer our own scanning service. We will arrange to have your photos FedExed to us and back to you or your family.
How can I get everybody to write their stories?
This is the beauty part—and it couldn’t be easier! No one has to write a word. One of the Sentimental Journals™ writers will call and interview everyone on your list, and then we will write the stories. We know you don’t have the time for this process, so we have streamlined it for you. Just leave it in our experienced hands.
What can my family and friends talk about for the book?
Trust us. Your family and friends will be delighted to add their favorite memories and photos of you, and to make it even simpler, we at Sentimental Journals™ are terrific at eliciting the best stories during interviews. Between the photos everyone sends us (great stories will accompany those) and our “basics” questionnaire, we can pretty much promise you—we’ll get it out of them!
How much does it cost?

How long will it take to produce my book?
Listen, let’s be honest. It’s quite an undertaking. If it were a cinch, why hire us? Sentimental Journals™ brings years of experience to your project, and we will do whatever it takes to make your book as brilliant as you are. Because each book is unique, the sooner we start working together, the happier we’ll all be. Seriously—don’t wait till the last minute. Give us at least three months, and we’ll make you look like the star that you are.
What kind of customer support do you have for me?
We are here to help you. Give us a call. We will be happy to step you through any problem you have. Well, not any problem—we like to stay out of family issues. We have enough of our own. But if you have any questions at all about your book, call us immediately. This is supposed to be fun!
